ABOUT THE TRY & REPLY EMAIL EXPERIMENT
What is Try and Reply?
Try and Reply is an email marketing experiment that tests real-world strategies and shares actionable insights. Each newsletter features tests designed to help marketers, creators, and business owners improve their email campaigns and implement tactics effectively.
How does the email experiment work?
Every email is part of an ongoing experiment. We test subject lines, call to action (CTAs), content, personalization, and more. Results and takeaways are shared transparently so you can apply them to your own strategy.
How are the email tests decided?
They’re inspired by real inbox examples, industry trends, advice from experts and curiosity-driven ideas.
How can I participate in the experiment?
You can participate simply by engaging with the emails—open, click, or reply. Your engagement influences the results and insights shared.
How are test results reported?
Transparency is a core value of Try and Reply. A breakdown of each test, the data behind it, and key takeaways are shared. Example: Engagement & Insights Report for Newsletter #006 Social Proof in Email.
How often will I receive emails?
- A 4-email Onboarding Journey over 10 days when you sign up.
- A newsletter every other week(ish) covering a topic with tips, a test, and insights from the previous test.
- Occasional experiment and segment-specific updates.
- If you join after a newsletter is sent, you may receive the latest issue after completing the onboarding emails, depending on the timing of the next issue.
Can I suggest an email test?
Absolutely! If you have a test idea, reply to any newsletter or contact the sender.
What email platform powers the experiment?
Mailchimp (Standard Plan). This experiment is independent and not affiliated with Mailchimp.
